The Aston Martin DB6 is one of the defining British grand tourers of the 1960s. It was introduced in 1965 as the successor to the DB5. Rather than being a radical redesign, Aston Martin evolved the DB5 formula into a more comfortable and practical car. The DB6 sits at a fascinating point in Aston Martin history. It is essentially the last evolution of the DB4/DB5 family, before Aston moved toward the much more modern, angular DBS. It also captures what a 1960s Aston Martin was supposed to be: fast, luxurious, hand-built and designed for crossing long distances at high speed.
