BMW's 507 was the first postwar sports car from BMW. Externally, the 507 would do honor to any Ferrari: an excitingly beautiful, harmoniously curved body line with an aggressive interpretation of the BMW kidney trademark styling cues, transformed into an appearance like the mouth of a shark. The aluminum skin of the car barely covers its technical elements. A small but unmistakably styling element is the grid with cooling slits and BMW symbol on the front wings. this only partially fulfills its task, since it barely covers the wheel. The arrangement of various push buttons and levers on the dashboard is also far from ergonomic. A small windshield-wiped field and little possibility of adjusting the seats are items one would put up with -if only one could count oneself among those happy people who can proudly call themselves BMW 507 owners. |
